Kevin Dorsey Music

     Kevin Dorsey is an award winning multi-instrumentalist in the Central New York Region. He holds a Masters of Music in Studio Jazz Writing from the University of Miami and Bachelors of Music in Music Education with a Performers Certificate from the Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam). Kevin has performed with such diverse artists as The Drifters, modern jazz musicians Phil Woods, Chris Vadala, and Dave Samuels, and the Israeli Ensemble Simply Tsfat. He has released 7 albums and his playing has also been heard on recordings by The Susquehanna String Band, The VanNorstrand Brothers, A Cast of Thousands, Donna Dennihy, Liz Strodel, The Intention, El Sabor, The Stan Colella Orchestra, Bob Piorun, and the University of Miami Symphony Orchestra. He was a voting member of The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammys) for 20 years.

     Kevin is an Elementary Classroom Specialist with over 25 years of experience. During the pandemic, he created "Mr. Dorsey's Music World," which was broadcast on WCNY in Syracuse, as well as other PBS stations in NYS and Mississippi.
